I took the day off work so I could focus on the airplane and take a break from work. I spent the day focusing on the left leading edge.<\/p>\n<p>I started the day by finishing up some countersinking of the left leading edge skin. I also deburred the edges of the skin.<\/p>\n<p>The next thing I did was cut the slot for the stall warning system. Priming is a pain, but\u00a0it&#8217;s part of the job. The quality of the primer on the skin was not great so I had to go back over it with the rattle can primer.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_0291.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2455\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_0291-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0291\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_0291-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_0291-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While I was waiting for the primer to cure, I jumped ahead and countersunk all the holes on the spar that will be interface with the outboard main skin and leading edge skin. I drilled the holes on the top and bottom sides of the spar.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_0296.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-2456\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_0296-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0296\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_0296-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/IMG_0296-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I back riveted the nut plates to the access hatch frame. I got about one third of the rivets installed before calling it quits.
