While riveting the skins, the bucking bar slipped off the shop head and dented the spar.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17381.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3173\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17381-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1738\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17381-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17381-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I used\u00a0a few different types of sandpaper to blend out the dent. The parts look good now, but I&#8217;ll make a note to keep and eye on this region.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17431.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3174\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17431-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1743\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17431-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17431-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I installed the corrugated tube that will route the wing tip lights. This tubing\u00a0took a ton of time to install due to the close fit of the tube\/hole.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17471.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3175\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17471-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1747\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17471-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17471-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I torque striped all the fastener heads that secure the tank brackets to the spar.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17491.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3176\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17491-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1749\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17491-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17491-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I made a minor oversight when I riveted the aileron brackets together. One of the holes is supposed to be countersunk. Since it wasn&#8217;t really possible to get the drill\/countersink in the proper location in the assembled state, I had to drill out the rivets.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17511.jpg\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3177\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17511-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1751\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17511-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17511-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I had to cut the countersink without the cage. This was pretty tricky, but it turned out fine. The key is just to go slow and keep the drill perpendicular to the surface of the part.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17521.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3178\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17521-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_1752\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17521-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/IMG_17521-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After riveting the brackets back together, I riveted the subassembly to the rear spar.
