Since a helper came with me to the hangar today, we worked on the two-person riveting on the right wing.<\/p>\n<p>The first thing we did was pull the wing out of the cradle so I could install the blind rivets around the repaired area on the leading edge.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3512\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3201-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"img_3201\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3201-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/IMG_3201-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The rivet job turned out pretty clean. Before getting started on the riveting, I covered the spar holes with duct tape to prevent the bucking bar from falling through. A helper was responsible for the rivet gun on the outside and I used the bucking bar on the inside. I&#8217;m super happy with the progress we made today.
