I&#8217;m jumping around in the plans, but all my work will add up in the end. For the aft tie-down bar, I used the horizontal band saw to cut it to the appropriate length. The vertical band saw and a belt sander were used to form the angled edges.\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3734\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3934-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"img_3934\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3934-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3934-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3934-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To tap the tie-down bar hole, you first need\u00a0to open the hole to a\u00a0diameter to .3125. To ensure my threads were aligned with the hole,\u00a0I located the bar in a vise and used a tap located in the drill press. I used a bandsaw to do the rough cuts on the \u00a0 \u00a0F711-C doublers.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3939.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3735\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3939-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"img_3939\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3939-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3939-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the F-705H spacers, I had the good fortune of using a mill to make the required modifications. I used the mill to cut the step in the spacer.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3940.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-3736\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3940-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"img_3940\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3940-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/IMG_3940-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I used a bandsaw to separate the spacers. I cleaned up the cut surface with a pass on the mill.
