I started off the tanks by drilling the Z-brackets.<br \/>\nI used a smaller drill bit to locate the holes for the .125 and #12 bits.<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7872.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-377\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7872-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7872\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7872-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7872-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Both flanges drilled. The #12 was drilled to the final size with a reamer.<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7877.jpg\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-378\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7877-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7877\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7877-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7877-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After demurring the edges and holes, the Z-bracket was clamped to the underside of the spar. This allowed the outer 2 holes to be match drilled.<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7881.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-379\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7881-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_7881\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7881-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/IMG_7881-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>All brackets have been match drilled. I messed up the drilling on one of the brackets. I&#8217;ll have to request a new part from Vans.
