Van&#8217;s tells you to use the template provided in the plans, but most builders seem to use the canopy deck section instead.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_2156.jpg\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4631\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_2156-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_2156-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/IMG_2156-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To help with the bending process, I marked off the longeron with 1 inch graduations. It&#8217;s easy to get annoyed that such a brute force process is used to make this precise bend. As long as you make the bend in slow and steady increments, it eventually forms to the correct shape.
