In total, I installed 120 nut plates.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_5765.jpg\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-492\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_5765-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_5765\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_5765-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_5765-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I finished drilling the countersinks on the top and bottom flanges. The most effective manner in which I&#8217;ve drilled the countersinks is the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drilled holes with the #21 rivet remover tool.<\/li>\n<li>Drilled holes to #19 with a normal drill bit. The depth of the bit was controlled by wrapping tape around the bit.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Used a #19 countersink to partially countersink the spar.<\/li>\n<li>Switched to the #30 countersink<\/li>\n<li>Deburred the internal edge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_5800.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-497\" src=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_5802-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_5802\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_5802-768x1024.jpg 768w, http:\/\/rv7aircraftlog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/IMG_5802-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The countersink diameter was measured at .370 inches.
