I wanted my first day of priming to be all the surfaces that will not be visible after the plane is assembled. For these surfaces, I&#8217;m using my Akzo epoxy primer. The major part I primed was the forward bottom skin. Since I&#8217;m going to be installing carpet in the plane, I&#8217;m painting the bottom with Akzo. I used masking tape to mask off the side walls of the part. I just used masking tape and paper towels to mask off the longeron section that will pass through the cockpit area.
