It feels great to get a solid weekend day in the hangar. I got to the hangar early with plans to knock out the installation of the seat bottoms.<\/p>\n

Before getting the seat bottom in place, I had a few open items. I installed the F-705H Spacer and the blind rivets above it. The rivets are supposed to be solid, but it’s just easier to go with blind rivets. I should have gotten these pieces installed much earlier. This was just an embarrassing oversight on my part. This is a good lesson that before you close out anything–it’s important to triple check everything.

Here’s something that didn’t go right! While setting the blind rivets on the left seat, I accidentally clamped my pinky in the rivet tool. This was actually really painful. There was a non-zero chance I broke my finder bone, but I decided to build on.

Here’s the left seat bottom fully riveted in place. I had accidentally installed 3 MSP-43 rivets instead of the LP4-3. I was annoyed by the careless mistake, but it doesn’t negatively effect the airplane. I’m going to leave the right seat off until I ensure I’ve got the antennas properly installed.

I threw the seats into the plane for fun. I’m really liking how the seats turned out!
