I spent basically the entire work session just countersinking the holes in the canopy frame. I can’t think of a task that has been this big of a pain in awhile. The annoying part is that the countersink cage needs to be continuously adjusted around the curves of the frame. I had to continuously check the depth using a rivet as a gauge. In the end, I got half the holes done, which is not bad.

I match drilled the F-732D angle to the aft side of the canopy frame. One really annoying gotcha is that the frame connecting plates are supposed to be biased to the the bottom side of the channel. You can see it in the image below, but Van’s doesn’t tell you to do this anywhere. It looks like a lot a builders make this error, but it’s annoying that the bracket holes are not centered on the flange.
