I drilled the 1/4 inch hole and and the nut plate holes on the left flap. After drilling the holes I used the self-etching primer on the exposed metal surfaces.
Things were really hot in the hangar. It actually got up to 105F.
I made the flap assembly jig with some scrap wood. This fixture is only suitable to hold the flaps. It should not be used for alignment.
The ribs were riveted to the rear spar.
I riveted the doublers to the inboard rib and the spar.
I got through most of the riveting of the top and bottom skin. Those marks on the rear spar are just minor scraps from the taped up bucking bar. No primer was actually removed from the surface.
