After a ton of prep work on the bulkheads, it’s finally time to do some assembly work. I used my pneumatic squeezer to set all of these rivets.
I started with the F-712 bulkhead assembly. For the RV-7A, you are supposed to hold off on riveting the aft hold down until the tail is riveted in place. The #40 hole that doesn’t have a rivet is skipped on the -7A.
While using my pneumatic squeezer, the corner of the yoke grabbed the bulkhead flange a made a slight crack. I just used a rat tail file to remove the damage area.
I set all the rivets in the F-711 bulkhead. The angle section gets riveted later.
I riveted the F-707 and F-706 bulkheads.
On the F-707 bulkhead, you are supposed to install only 6 of the 8 rivets. The other 2 will be set at a later time.
