I incorrectly spaced the crotch brackets, which mean today was spent redrilling the parts. The mistake was caused by my assumption that the Hooker Harness requires the same buckle spacing as the Vans harness. In reality, the Hooker Harness require ~.25 inch greater spacing due to the thicker crotch strap buckle.
To implement this fix, I’m just going to add new holes to the aft bracket, which will allow me to reposition the part. I drilled the new holes to a pilot size of #40 in the bracket.
The brackets were clecoed/clamped in place with an appropriately sized spacer (5/16 thick). I then match drilled the bracket to the seat ribs.
Here’s how the new hole pattern turned out. I’m happy with the results.
The last thing I did was get the control brackets installed. I still need to torque stripe these fasteners.
