I finally got a solid day at the hangar. I worked for about 5 hours, which is substantially more time than I usually get out here.
I spent most of the day priming parts, which will enable me to get a bunch of the interior parts installed. I primed the external steps. Before priming, I used a rust removing spray to remove some of the corrosion that had started to form on the weldments. I also got the backsides of F-750 Aft Side Covers and F-747 Baggage Floors primed. The sides of the baggage parts that face the interior of the fuselage will be painted with JetFlex.
I got the custom left conduit brackets primed and installed. I need to modify that strap that I riveted across a team in the seat rib. I don’t think that strap is doing very much right now.
Here’s the conduit brackets in the baggage area.
Here’s something wild that I noticed. I don’t know what got into my container of peanuts, but I’m a little freaked out by this. What created such a big hole so high off the table? Needless to say, I tossed out this container.
