I riveted the canopy frame roll bar together. This is the first time I’ve done any riveting in many months.

For some reason, my canopy frame isn’t lining up with the fuselage. I’m not sure when things got misaligned. To address this issue, I wanted to compress the roll bar by .125 inches. I accomplished this by using a ratchet strap to deform the roll bar. The 2X2 beam was clamped in place to prevent the roll bar from buckling.

Since the fit between the canopy frame and the fuselage is still not ideal, I threw the canopy back on the plane to try to figure out if the fitup issues persist with the canopy. Unfortunately the canopy doesn’t help align things any better. It’s still cool to see the canopy on the airplane.

I drilled out the canopy frame holes in the locations shown below. The frame is still misaligned by ~.125 inches, but I’ll deal with that later. I should be able to gently bend the frame into position.
