I left work a little early today to get some time in the hangar this week. Since I’ve been doing a lot of traveling lately, it’s been tough to make any significant progress on the plate.

The right elevator has 12 total holes that could not be reached with the hand squeezer.

I had to remove a good amount of material from my large bucking bar. This will allow me to set the rivets that are difficult to reach.

I used on e pop-rivet on the trialing edge. I put a slight dent in the skin, which will need to be filled in at a later date.

Lesson learned: always make sure the work piece is rigidly fixed. Don’t try to use your hands to secure the part.

I moved on to the left elevator by by starting to assemble the skin.
