In order to get as much work done as possible, I’m trying to take in little portions of the airplane into work so I can bust out little jobs.
For the inboard center ribs, I used a 1.5 inch hole saw to remove the required material around the rib cutout. This removal of this extra material will accommodate the movement of the control linkage.
After the holes were cut, I used sheet metal cutters to remove the remaining material between the holes. I still need to get around to smoothing out the edges.
