I got a short session in the hangar. I worked on cutting the lower 4 J stiffeners to the final length and making the required modifications to the ends.
I had rough cut the stiffeners on the horizontal band saw. The get the precise length, I used masking tape to form a straight line through the curvature of the stiffener.
I got a few of the stiffener ends modified. The task involved marking the parts, drilling a 3/16 inch hole at the line intersection, rough cutting with a cutoff wheel, and using a grinding wheel to clean it up.
Since we only got 2 ends modified, I’ll need to continue this task next time I go in.
