I got the replacement F-XXX bars riveted to the bulkhead.
As you can see in the image below, the edge distance is looking much better. I’m definitely glad I made this change.
I got the F-704G bars riveted in place. I used the AN bolts to locate the part before squeezing the rivets.
You can see the mistake I had previously made. I had incorrectly drilled the holes in the F-704G bars. To compensate for this error, I just opened up the prepunched holes in the F-704 bulkhead. The rivets that hole the F-704G bars don’t go through the final portion of the part, but this does not pose any increased risk. Those rivets were only used to hole the bar in place. Furthermore, the shop head size is undersized during a nominal assembly.
