I started working on the brake pedals. Vans gives you the option to remove the unneeded material on the outer angle pieces. Hopefully all these little mass saving moves add up the in end.
Here is the drilled pedals for the pilot’s left side. I used my cleco clamps to hold everything in place while drilling the parts.
After getting the brake pedals to to a good spot, I moved over to the seatback stiffeners. I cut the stiffeners to their overall dimensions.
Vans instructs you to cut a 3/8 radius in the stiffener. It just so happens the collar for my back rivet set has a 3/8 radius. I used this to draw the curve. That’s it for now. There’s more seatback details in the Fuselage Cabin Area section.
