I spent the day knocking out the last few modifications that are required on the fuselage piece-parts before I start getting everything painted. I can’t believe how long all of this prep work takes!
For the center section and baggage section bulkheads, I countersunk all the areas that require nut plates to be installed. In all these cases, I sized the countersinks for Oops rivets.
I made the big #10 countersink on the lower longerons. This is where the fuel tank attach bracket will be mounted. The aluminum plate behind the lower longeron helps keep the countersink cutter centered.
Lastly, I deburred and dimpled all the remaining holes on the center section bottom skin.
