Round three on the fuel tank Z-brackets. The previous set of brackets were off by .060. I probably could have made it work, but that’s not good enough for me.
I marked the center of the bracket flange.
I changed how I drilled the outer holes on the Z-brackets. I didn’t actually drill the brackets on the spar. Instead, I just used a #12 bit to mark the center of the hole. I then brought the Z-brackets to the drill press, which allowed me to step up the drill sizes and use a reamer.
Not pictured: I drilled the countersinks and primed the parts.
While I waited on the primer for the Z-brackets, I moved to the stiffeners for the right tank. I need to finish up the deburring on these parts, but I made some good progress.
