I’m writing this update about a year after I actually did the work so this content is not fresh in my mind. I had to redrill the crotch strap mounts to fit the bushing of the Hooker Harness properly. A greater separation between the crotch strap brackets is required, which forces them to interface with the seat bottom differently.
I got the crotch strap bracket brackets clecoed in the proper locations in the fuselage. You can see how far forward the brackets are pushed to get the separation right. The 4 holes in the seat bottom are pre drilled. I’m going to drill my own holes in the 2 aft hole locations.
I marked and drilled the new hole locations in the seat floor. The aft crotch strap bracket was match drilled with these new holes.
I pointed out the original hole locations versus the new locations. Obviously the original holes were never going to work.
Here are the primed and assembled crotch strap brackets. Looking good!
I primed and got the rivets installed on the ELT mounting plate. Since I didn’t want to make a batch of Akzo for one part, I just used my rattle can primer.
