I brought the F-782C Cover into work so I could bend the louvers. Achieving a clean bend involved using the edge of the table and some scrap metal to figure the part. After fixturing, the louver be tapped into approximately the correct bend angle.

Here’s another fixturing configuration I used. The part is propped on on the copper rods so the louvers don’t interfere with the table.

Here’s the final product. For a totally manual bending operation, I’m super happy with how this turned out.

After leaving work, I stopped by the hangar to drop off my freshly bent cover and rivet the nutplates to the F-983C Cover
