I wanted to knock out a few easy items today. It’s really hot in LA right now, so it’s going to have to be a short session.
I received my fuel and brake lines from Aircraft Speciality a few days ago. I decided to go with these upgraded tubes to maximize the reliability of the fluid lines. Plus, these tubes look way nicer than the coil of tube provided by Vans.
I’m going to have to redo these brackets because the passthrough need to be sized for the B-nuts, rather than just the tube. I’ll place an order with Vans when I can combine a few items in the same shipment.
I got the static ports drilled in the fuselage. The location provided by Vans was not acceptable for the Dynon static ports. I had to move the port forward about 1/2 inches to clear the bulkhead flange.
That first tick mark to the left of the static port is the location Vans specifies.
I jumped over to the forward upper fuselage assembly. I got the F-746 Fwd Engine Control Bracket drilled to the Center Sub Panel.
It was really hot today. 106 F! I was only able to work for like 2 hours.
