Jennifer came over to the hangar and helped me get the canopy latch drilled. She held one side of the latch while I held and drilled the other side.
The hook fit nicely in the bulkhead slot.
I had removed the extra material from the hook weldment a few days earlier. This is an optional weight savings measure since that lug is only needed on left side of the airplane.

Here’s the pilot holes drilled in the the UHMW block. I finished drilling the blocks and called it a short day.
