I got to work riveting the left flap today. I really is feeling great to work on the airplane on a daily basis.
The first thing I did was rivet the FL-706A Angle to the spar.
Next, I got the internal ribs clecoed in place so I could rivet the ribs to the rear spar feature. I just used my squeezer for this job.
The ribs were riveted to the bottom skin.
The top skin was clecoed in place and the ribs were riveted to the skin. Those rivets tucked away in the back took some skill to set with the bucking bar.
Here’s the final product from the day’s work. I need to make sure the flap is twist-free before setting the rivets along the length of the flap.
