I match drilled and riveted the leading edge of the rudder. It was important to me to achieve a tight overlapping fit between the two skins as they curve around the leading edge. In the pic below, you can see the skins remain tight against each other.
Here is the final riveted leading edge. It looks pretty clean.
I drilled out and replaced a few less-than-perfect rivets along the top edge of the rudder. The only remaining item is to polish the trailing edge of the rudder, but I’ll probably jump to that later. This rudder is basically done. Hell yeah!
