It’s finally time to start priming the fuselage parts! I wanted my first day of priming to be all the surfaces that will not be visible after the plane is assembled. For these surfaces, I’m using my Akzo epoxy primer. The major part I primed was the forward bottom skin. Since I’m going to be installing carpet in the plane, I’m painting the bottom with Akzo. I used masking tape to mask off the side walls of the part. I will be painting the side walls with the Jetflex since those faces are visible post assembly.

I got the outer seat ribs primed. I still need to match drill the nutplate mounting locations.

I also got the floor stiffeners and center section side plates primed.

Since I still had a decent amount of Akzo left over I primed the aft section of the longerons. I just used masking tape and paper towels to mask off the longeron section that will pass through the cockpit area. The cockpit portion will be painted with Jetflex.
