The goal for today was to get the left gear mount in the fuselage. The match drilling process was much more difficult this time around. The fit between the left and the mount was super tight. Eventually I was able to get things aligned by clamping up the leg with 2X4s and a few clamps. This helped control the leg much better compared to directly clamping up the leg.
Similar to how I handled the right mount, I had to carve away a small portion of the material to avoid a rivet on the fuselage.
This gear went in only slightly easier than the right gear. It took more fitting iterations than I expected, but I eventually got it to fit. I still need to install all the nuts and washers.
The fuselage interior looks really awesome with the gear mounts and the fuel pump. This has been a really fun part of the build.
