Work continues on the left flap.

I got the inboard rib doubler riveted in place, but I made a mistake. I was supposed to set the first nutplate rivet before the doubler was installed.

Instead of reworking the part, I decided to use a -3 domed rivet and just shave down some of the material on the rivet set. The picture below shows the installed rivet.

Here’s the modified rivet set.

Here’s both rivets installed on the nutplate.

Before installing the span-wise rivets, I wanted to ensure the flap had minimal twist. You can see the angle is the same from front to back.

I installed most of the rivets along the length of the flap. These rivets connect the upper and lower skins. I’ll get the outer span-wise rivets installed when I get the outer ribs in place. Handling the bucking bar in these tight spaces is a ton of work. Most of the rivets are just set based on feel, rather than visual.
