I worked on the fuel tank attach angles at the SpaceX shop.
The first thing I did was cut the aluminum angle on the horizontal band saw.
I drew the profile of the first cut and removed the material with a band saw, belt sander, and a few different files. This part still needs to be smoothed out a little bit, but I think it looks pretty good.
The second cut was traced out using the backing piece.
Here’s the bracket after both cuts have been made. The parts needs a little deburring and cleanup work, but I’m happy with the results.
