I cut the 8 optional lightening holes on the battery box. I couldn’t find a scale at work, but this mass savings actually felt pretty substantial.
When cutting steel, you really need to go slow with the hole saw. I dulled up my first saw because I was cutting at an really high RMP. I currently have this part in a bag, but I’m not sure if I should be doing something to protect the exposed steel. I hate to paint over this nice powdercoat.
