After a long break, it feels good to get back into the hangar. I started out finishing up riveting the aft end of the fuselage. Most people would have done this before flipping the fuselage, but I though it would be easier to knock this out after flipping. The riveting went fine until my tungsten bucking bar slipped out of my hand and dented the bottom fuselage skin. Obviously this was pretty frustrating, especially because this isn’t the first time this has happened. There’s a slight protrusion on the outside of the fuselage that I will have to tap down at some point. The dent is shown in the image below.
I’m finally getting around to drilling the aft deck to the fuselage. I spent a ton of time getting things level before drilling. Using two level simultaneously is pretty helpful.
Here’s the final-drilled part. I’m going to prepare the F-7112 Aft Top Skin before priming these parts.
