I’m skipping ahead in the plans to make some headway on the canopy frame since it’s a manageable subassembly. The width and height of the frame have to be finalized by the builder. I clamped up a series of angles and a 2X2 length of wood to get everything tooled up. Both ends of each frame halves had to be ground down in order to achieve the correct fit.

This image shows how everything forms a nice 90 degree angle after I spent time getting things squared up.

One dumb thing I did several months/years (I’m not quite sure) earlier was cut down the F-631B strip for a different application. I can’t even remember where it was used on the airplane. The strip is now not long enough for the canopy frame, which means I have to buy another one. On the plus side, I did get the F-641B-L outer strip cut to the proper length.
