This part is not part of the kit, but it seems like most builders fabricate a closeout piece for the undersides of the F-732A Channel. I brought the channel and a piece of .025 thick aluminum into work and got to it.
The plate will be fastened with 8 6-32 screws. Some builders have mentioned routing wiring through this area. We’ll see if that makes sense for me down the road. I got everything cut and drilled. I’ll do the nutplate drilling after I buy a few from Vans.
Here’s an image down the barrel of the channel. This will definitely look much cleaner when it’s closed out.
