I got about 3 solid hours in at the hangar today. I had primed the inside of the channels a few days earlier to these parts were ready for assembly. It really feels great to be doing some riveting. The first thing I did was rivet the connecting plate into place. I lost track of the hole orientation so it took at few attempts to get things aligned properly.
The rest of the session was spent riveting the connecting strips into place. I used a bunch of clamps to keep the frame flat.
Here are the straps riveted in place. Looking good! I’m excited to get the subassembly behind me.
