I’m jumping around in the plans to keep things moving along. I’m working on the match drilling of the UHMW blocks around the tip-up canopy.
The C-617 Blocks need to be match drilled to the forward section ribs. I pinned one of the #10 holes with a AN3 bolt and used the rib as a drill guide for the other 2 holes. This was done on both sides.
I brought the blocks to work to do the final drilling on the drill press. On one of the blocks, the bit grabbed the part and turned my precision hole into an oval–not great. The damaged holes is in the lower left corner. I’ll be driving through Oregon for Christmas, so I’ll pick up a replacement part at that time.
I used my one good block to match drill the C-618 Block. An AN3 bolt was used to pin one end together.
