I got the canopy fitted to the fuselage. The ratchet strap really does a great job pulling things together. The duct tape doesn’t actually do much to align things.
I clamped the splice plate to the canopy frame channel. I used cleco clamps to pull the splice plate along the lower flange and used regualar clamps to pull the webs together.
Here’s the modified clamp I used to locate the splice plate:
The splice plate was drilled to the frame channel. You are only supposed to drill to #40 for now. The holes will be opened to #30 later.
