I’m supposed to be working all day (today is Sunday), but I decided to take a break from work to bust out a little airplane work.

On the left flap, I drilled the rear ribs. I used a cleco clamp to hold the rib against the rear spar.  My ruler has a thickness of .020, which is the tool I used to determine if any shims needed to be added. The ruler did not fit between the rib/rear spar so no shims were added.

The ribs/bottom skin were match drilled.

I drilled the piano hinge to the skin. I drew a line down the middle of the hinge, which was kept in place with cleco clamps. I added normal clecos as I drilled the holes.IMG_8751

The assembled hinge rotates freely.
