While using the squeezer to dimple the aileron skin, the part slipped off the dimple die and I accidentally made a figure-8 hole. Since this is on the outside of the part, the mistake is really frustrating.
After doing some research, here’s my solution:
- Drill 2 new rivet holes on either side of the damaged area.
- Fill the figure-8 holes with JB-weld
I dimpled the rest of the skin.
I dimpled the aileron spar.
