I spent the morning working on the left flap That work is tracked here.
It’s round 2 for the canopy frame. I can honestly say this is one of my least favorite parts of the project, but it’s got to be done.
The first thing you are supposed to do is mark the centerline along the tube. I used masking tape to get a straight line. 
To get the skin the fit properly the weld fillet on the frame needs to be ground down. 
Here’s the alignment between the Sharpie line along the tube and the skin. 
Most of the holes that interface between the tube and the skin were drilled. As other builders have said, there’s some serious gapping around the outboard most holes.
The last thing I did was drill the #40 holes for the splice plate.
